In 1971, the 'Club Trésors', also known as Special Club, was founded. This club is a union of 28 vignerons (RM – Récoltant-Manipulant, the one who grows his own grapes and produces his champagne with them) spread throughout the Champagne regions - ranging from Cru, Premier cru and Grand Cru villages - with the aim of produce a special cuvée based on the QUALITY pillar.
With that, only in exceptional years these small producers create an exclusive vintage champagne for the club. The base wines of this cuvée are submitted to a blind tasting by a committee of winemakers for approval, as well as the champagne already ready, after at least 3 years in the cellar. Each of the 28 elaborates its own blend – or uses base wines from a single type of grape (Blanc de Blancs / Blanc de Noirs) according to the best of the harvest, and fills it in a special bottle with the club crest, as well as the box, becoming a symbol of quality and prominence for small producers.
*One of the Club members, Rémy Massin - the only member located in the Côte des Bar - produced with the 2014 vintage a Cuvée Special Club - 100% Pinot Blanc - one of Champagne's "forgotten varieties", which is part of 5 % only of your plantations in the winery. It was even considered by them the 'champagne originality' of the house. Another addendum is that most of these small producers have a small, biodynamic (some certified) and FAMILY production!
